Service Technician Apprentice The Bus Coach LLC Lavonia, GA 30553 $16-$18 per hour, based on experience Full-time Build a Career as a Commercial Vehicle Technician The Bus Coach LLC is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Service Technician Apprentice to join our service team in Lavonia, Georgia. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to develop professional skills in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of motorcoaches, buses, and other commercial vehicles. Working under direct supervision, the apprentice will assist experienced technicians while learning preventive maintenance, basic repairs, component removal and installation, proper tool usage, and manufacturer-recommended service procedures. Prior professional technician experience is not required. We are looking for someone with mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Compensation and Benefits $16-$18 per hour , based on experience Full-time employment Healthcare reimbursement of up to $1,066.66 per month through the company's QSEHRA plan , subject to eligibility, plan requirements, expense substantiation, applicable IRS requirements, and company plan administration rules Hands-on training with experienced commercial vehicle technicians Participation in maintenance training programs to develop technical skills and knowledge Opportunity to gain experience working on multiple commercial vehicle systems Access to shop equipment and the tools needed for assigned work What You Will Learn and Do Assist senior technicians with vehicle inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. Perform basic maintenance services and inspections under supervision. Assist with the removal, installation, disassembly, and reconditioning of vehicle components. Learn to use appropriate hand tools, shop equipment, and manufacturer technical manuals. Learn to open, maintain, document, and complete repair orders. Learn to post labor, charge parts, and write repair descriptions using the 3C repair-order documentation method. Participate in maintenance training programs that support continued skills development. Prepare and complete required reports, forms, and work orders. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Properly maintain and care for department tools, equipment, and vehicles. Follow all company safety rules and regulations. Interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and vendors. Perform other service-related duties assigned by the Service Manager or Foreman. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license Ability and willingness to obtain a Commercial Driver's License, or CDL Basic mechanical aptitude Willingness to learn and accept coaching from experienced technicians Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Ability to safely operate the functions of vehicles owned or serviced by the company Ability to work multiple shifts when required Basic hand tools needed for the position Work Environment This is a hands-on position in a commercial vehicle service environment. The apprentice may work in both hot and cold conditions. Certain assignments may require availability during nights, weekends, or holidays.
