Job Description

Job Summary:
As an Installer, you are responsible for the delivery, assembly, and setup of commercial office furniture. Working under the Lead Installer, you will ensure every piece is built correctly according to technical plans while maintaining a clean, safe, and professional job site.
Key Responsibilities:
Professionalism:
Maintain a clean, professional appearance in company-approved attire. Act as a positive face of the company when talking to clients, building security, and other trades on-site.
Site Cleanup:
Keep your work area organized. Before leaving, clean the furniture and remove all trash and packing materials
Communication:
Check in daily with the Lead Installer for assignments. Keep the Lead Installer, Project Manager, and Account Executive updated on how the job is going and report any issues or roadblocks immediately.
Assembly & Installation:
Efficiently build, level, and install office furniture, including cubicles, desks, seating, and wall-mounted items.
Technical Skills:
Read and follow layouts, plans, and instruction manuals to make sure all furniture is placed and installed exactly how/where it belongs.
Logistics & Inventory:
Help load and unload trucks. Check shipments against the paperwork for any missing or damaged parts and report them right away.
Safety:
Follow all safety rules/OSHA regulations according to the job site and keep your tools in good working order.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Reliable transportation. Own and maintain a set of basic installation tools (cordless power drill, screwdriver, tape measure, levels, etc.). Ability to work varied hours, including occasional nights and weekends, to meet project deadlines
Preferred Requirements:
1-2 years of experience in furniture installation, carpentry, or related mechanical trade. Valid Driver's License to safely operate company vehicle/box truck to transport furniture. Certified in major commercial furniture systems (i.e. certification in all Teknion Architectural Interior (AI) wall systems). Experience performing large-scale installations or working on multi-floor commercial projects.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hand or power tools for long periods of time. Maintain a clean, professional appearance wearing provided company-branded shirt. Travel to different client job sites across the island with occasional inter-island travel. Regularly able to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, climb ladders, and balance while inspecting installation jobs. Regularly lift, carry, push, and move up to 75 lbs on your own without help.

Pay:
$20.00 per hour
