In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assembling, installing, and securing furniture and fixtures in commercial spaces.

Job Duties:

Remove and relocate office furniture, workstations, chairs, filing cabinets, tables, shelving, and related equipment. Disassemble existing modular furniture systems, cubicles, workstations, and office furniture. Assist with the decommissioning and clearing of office spaces. Remove carpet tile and other flooring materials as directed. Load furniture and equipment. Sort and stage furniture and materials for reuse, disposal, or installation. Receive, unload, stage, and distribute new furniture and project materials. Assemble and install office furniture, workstations, tables, shelving, cabinets, and related components. Reconfigure existing furniture systems based on project layouts and direction. Move furniture and equipment between offices, floors, storage areas, and project locations. Use hand tools and basic power tools to complete furniture assembly, disassembly, and installation. Work with project supervisors, facility personnel, furniture installers, and other trades. Follow project schedules and assist with completing areas according to established project deadlines. This job's schedule will be from 7:00am - 3:30pm.

Requirements:

Previous experience in furniture installation, assembly, moving, construction, facilities or other related field preferred. Previous commercial office furniture or modular workstation installation experience is a plus. Comfortable using basic hand tools. Ability to read and follow basic layouts, instructions, and installation plans. Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and maneuver furniture and equipment. Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, lifting and moving materials throughout the workday. Professional attitude and dependable work ethic. Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
