Woodworker Workbench Gallery Hampden, Maine Workbench Gallery is looking for a dependable, hardworking Woodworker to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is comfortable working on a variety of projects. Our work ranges from custom woodworking and handcrafted furniture. No two days are necessarily the same, so we're looking for someone who is dependable, willing to learn, and ready to work. Job Responsibilities Assist with custom woodworking and furniture projects at Workbench Gallery Cutting, measuring, sanding, assembling, and finishing wood products Use hand tools, power tools, saws, and other woodworking/carpentry equipment Load, unload, move, and organize materials Maintain a clean and safe workshop Follow project specifications and instructions Work independently when appropriate and as part of a team as needed Perform general labor and other project-related duties as needed We're Looking for
Someone Who Is:
Reliable and punctual Hardworking and self-motivated Comfortable with physical, hands-on work Able to follow directions and pay attention to detail Willing to learn new skills Able to work safely with tools and equipment Comfortable working in a woodworking shop Capable of producing quality, lasting work A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle is strongly preferred, but not required Experience Previous experience in woodworking and DIY furniture building is preferred , but we are willing to consider the right candidate who has a strong work ethic and is willing to learn. Experience using common hand and power tools is a plus.
