Job Description

Talascend is currently seeking a Decal Installer for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in Troy, Michigan . Overview The Decal Installer is responsible for installing branding, decals, and vinyl graphics on vehicles, equipment, and facility surfaces to ensure high-quality fleet presentation that aligns with brand standards. The role involves precise application techniques, surface preparation, and quality inspection. Responsibilities Install company branding, decals, and fleet graphics on vehicles, equipment, and facility surfaces Prepare surfaces by cleaning, measuring, and staging materials to ensure proper adhesion Measure, align, cut, and apply vinyl graphics to meet exact specifications and brand guidelines Use tools such as squeegees, heat guns, and cutting equipment to ensure smooth, durable installation Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and visual consistency Remove or replace damaged or outdated decals and graphics as needed Support shop operations including staging vehicles, maintaining workspace cleanliness, and handling materials Follow all safety protocols, including PPE, equipment usage, and facility rules Communicate with supervisors and team members to prioritize work and meet production timelines Document completed work and report any issues impacting quality or schedule Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in vinyl graphics, automotive detailing, body shop, or related field preferred Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Ability to read measurements and follow layout templates or work instructions Comfortable using hand tools and installation equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Professional communication skills and dependable workplace conduct Shift This position may require working in a fast-paced environment with physical tasks involving standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working around vehicles and outdoors as needed.
