Job Description

[Leapros] Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Sr. Shop Fabricator in Charlotte, NC. The Senior Shop Fabricator is a lead technical role responsible for executing specialty fabrication orders while providing mentorship and training to the production team. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience with shop equipment and hand tools, a commitment to preventative maintenance, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of fabricated materials.

$52,000 to $62,400
Annually BOE Responsibilities:
Lead the fabrication of high-complexity and specialty orders according to project specifications. Provide technical mentorship and cross-training to fabricators to enhance team-wide capabilities. Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to ensure all orders are complete and ready for delivery. Assist with the technical review and processing of drawings submitted for fabrication when required. Diagnose equipment issues, source necessary parts, and perform repairs to maintain shop functionality. Implement and execute routine preventative maintenance according to the established PM schedule. Operate forklifts and other shop equipment to manage material flow and staged orders. Ensure the shop environment remains safe and organized while adhering to all corporate safety standards.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Proven experience in metal fabrication or a related mechanical field. Proficiency with hand tools including wrenches, pliers, hammers, and tape measures. Advanced capability with shop equipment such as metal breaks and shears. Ability to work a flexible schedule including days and some weekends. Knowledge of HVAC or general construction industries is preferred. Familiarity with CAD software is preferred for drawing review and processing. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to constantly stand, walk, reach, and grip throughout the workday. Frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally (maximum solo lift) and 25 lbs. constantly. Visual acuity for close vision, distance, color perception, and depth perception. Capacity to work in environments with extreme heat, cold, high noise levels, and proximity to moving parts. Meets the Very Heavy physical demand classification (PDC) standards.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $52,000 to $62,400 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
