Luke's Furniture Company designs and builds high-end, handcrafted wood furniture for clients who value quality, artistry, and timeless design. We are seeking a Skilled Furniture Craftsman to bring their expertise and passion to our growing team. About the Role As a Skilled Furniture Craftsman, you will: Build a variety of custom furniture pieces including dining tables, benches, chairs, mantles, built-ins, and more. Perform precision joinery, sanding, and finishing using high-quality woodworking tools and techniques. Work with premium hardwoods such as walnut, sapele, maple, and specialty figured woods. Handle repair work, refinishing, and on-site installations. Collaborate with a small team to problem-solve and execute unique custom projects. Uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship, efficiency, and attention to detail.
What We're Looking For Experience:
Professional background in building larger-scale furniture pieces (tables, cabinetry, etc.).
Skills:
Mastery of common and advanced woodworking tools and machinery. Knowledge of joinery techniques and furniture assembly. Strong finishing and sanding skills. Ability to problem-solve and adapt during the build process. Ability to lift 75 pounds.
Portfolio Requirement:
Applicants must submit a portfolio of finished pieces they built entirely themselves .
Education:
Formal training in woodworking or cabinetry is recommended but not required.
Compensation & Benefits Pay:
$20-$30 per hour, based on experience and skill level.
Schedule:
Full-time, flexible hours with Flex Friday option.
