In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely delivering and handling appliances and furniture, ensuring each customer receives exceptional service from the moment they place their order to the final delivery. Your mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and customer-focused attitude will help us provide seamless delivery experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in appliance handling, equipment troubleshooting, and customer service while working with a supportive team committed to excellence. Duties Safely operate company vehicles to deliver appliances and furniture to residential or commercial locations. Load, unload, and transport items using hand tools, power tools, dollies, and other equipment. Verify delivery orders against purchase documentation for accuracy and completeness. Inspect appliances and furniture for damages or defects prior to delivery; report issues promptly. Assist customers with basic product setup or positioning within their space, ensuring satisfaction. Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle and work area at all times. Follow schematics, technical diagrams, or assembly instructions as needed during handling or minor adjustments. Troubleshoot minor equipment issues using mechanical knowledge and electrical experience; escalate complex problems for repair. Use ladder equipment safely when accessing high or hard-to-reach areas during deliveries. Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve concerns promptly. Qualifications Proven experience with appliance repair, installation, or furniture delivery is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in electrical work, plumbing, refrigeration systems, or equipment troubleshooting. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other maintenance or installation equipment. Experience operating company vehicles or delivery trucks safely and responsibly. Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Knowledge of MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) practices is a plus. Physical ability to lift heavy items regularly and stand for extended periods; comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
