JT Industrial Designs is looking for a dependable Shop Hand to join our finishing and shipping team. This position is responsible for preparing handcrafted furniture for shipment by staining, assembling hardware, carefully packaging products, and performing final quality inspections before orders leave our shop. No previous experience is required—we're happy to train the right person. Responsibilities Apply stain and wood finishes to custom furniture Assemble and organize hardware kits for customer orders Wrap, protect, and package furniture for safe shipment Build shipping boxes and prepare orders for FedEx pickup Perform final quality inspections to ensure every order meets our standards Read production sheets and custom order notes carefully Keep the finishing and packing areas clean and organized Safely move finished furniture throughout the shop Work with the woodworking team to keep production moving efficiently Qualifications Excellent attention to detail Reliable and punctual Able to follow written instructions accurately Comfortable working with your hands in a production environment Able to safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds throughout the shift Previous warehouse, shipping, assembly, or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required What We Offer Paid, hands-on training Family-owned, team-oriented work environment Opportunity to learn furniture finishing and shipping processes Stable, year-round employment
