Job Description

Homestead Cabinets is hiring for an Experienced Craftsman - Specialty Department Technician . We are seeking a highly skilled craftsman with a minimum of 5 years of experience in woodworking. Position Details:
Shift Hours:
Typically Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (with some overtime required)
Pay Range:
$18-20 per hour, based on previous work experience
Key Responsibilities:
Follow work procedures and schematics, or receive verbal and written instructions for assigned tasks Perform manufacturing, assembly, and basic testing of products while adhering to Homestead's procedures and process guidelines Maintain consistent daily production output Participate in quality control inspections and regularly check parts for accuracy Stack, sort, and apply labels/stickers to parts Collaborate with team leads, engineers, supervisors, and managers to enhance quality and process efficiency Maintain a clean, organized work area Assist in other departments as needed
Position Requirements:
5+ years of experience working with various types of wood, including cutting and shaping (furniture experience is a significant plus) Strong time management skills Exceptional attention to detail Proficiency with hand tools and basic machinery (table saw, mitersaw, router, power tools, etc.) Ability to adapt to changes in work schedules with flexibility Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and follow complex instructions Proficient in reading a tape measure Experience leading small groups of individuals is required Adherence to good manufacturing principles Demonstrated commitment to quality and precision A curious mindset and willingness to learn
Physical Requirements:
Ability to frequently move, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and occasionally move items over 50 lbs. with assistance Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment Ability to climb stairs and ladders as necessary Frequent use of hands for gripping, clamping, and handling objects Ability to squat, kneel, stoop, crouch, pivot, and reach At Homestead Cabinets , we value hard work, dedication, and teamwork.
