About the Role We are seeking a full-time Furniture Installer in Roanoke, VA, to perform efficient installation and assembly of office furniture within clients' facilities. This self-motivated team member must be a customer service and solutions-oriented professional who has physical strength and stamina required to lift and move furniture, boxes and equipment along with a strong work ethic and ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts with the possibility of travel. Candidate must have the ability to carry out assignments from supervisor, take ownership for assignment results and details, be capable of reacting to varying project/field conditions and be able to make decisions to solve problems and changes in the scope of work. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following tasks: Review daily service dispatch for clarity, tools, parts, and scope of work Assist in loading and unloading trucks Unload and stage product at job sites Assemble, fine-tune and detail commercial furniture according to install plan Communicate task status and problems to supervisor in a timely and clear manner Candidate must be adept mechanically and know how to safely use tools and equipment, be comfortable driving a delivery truck and be able to do so safely, have a satisfactory driving record and be able to pass pre-employment drug testing as well as background checks to maintain access to military bases and client sites, have a basic understanding of electricity, and be trainable to learn installation of contract furniture. Candidate must be 21 years of age, be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds, and provide their own basic set of tools upon hire. Experience with commercial furniture installation is preferred; otherwise, we have a career path available.
