Job Description
Sound Prosthetics and Orthotics is looking for a dependable and motivated Technician Helper to join our team. This position supports our technician and practitioners with day-to-day tasks, helps keep the work area organized and clean. The main focus would be checking in orders and maintaining supplies. The ideal candidate is someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a busy work environment. Previous O&P experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person. Key Responsibilities Check in and organize incoming orders and materials Assist technician and practitioners with daily shop and worksite tasks Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized Help maintain inventory and ensure supplies are properly stored Assist with preparing materials and equipment for fabrication and repairs Help keep the worksite safe, orderly, and free of clutter Perform general shop duties and other tasks as needed Follow instructions carefully and work efficiently as part of a team Maintain a professional and respectful work environment Qualifications Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Able to follow directions and work independently when needed Comfortable performing hands-on tasks and physical work Ability to lift, move, and organize materials as needed What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, notices when something needs to be done, and is willing to jump in and help. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are more important than having prior O&P experience.
