Summary Monday - Thursday, 4:15pm-2:45am The primary responsibility of this position is to execute production set up, run production, documenting, and providing technical knowledge and product support internally. This position requires mastering the set-ups, maintenance, and operation of a variety of ceramic processing machines including sieving, mixing, form and tool build and operation of sintering equipment. Participate in daily production meetings with OPS team, management and sales team regarding product delivery, process quality and performance, material applications, and any issues related to Heraeus Covantics products.

Your Role and Responsibilities :

Responsible for set-up and operating machine tools to create / modify ceramic parts for direct sale to a customer or as a first step for the polishing process. Set up tools and forms for industrial machinery and oversee its functioning. Must be able to interpret and use blueprints for specific piece design, as well as calibrate equipment to follow product specifications. Follow strict company and industry safety regulations, as well as a tightly controlled sequence of functions and equipment programming functions. Must be able to communicate effectively with other machinists and supervisors, as well as attend regular training sessions for updates on equipment use. Act as a Cell Lead coordinating day to day activity and provide training to team members on relevant industry processes and equipment operations safety Must be self-sufficient and work well with minimal supervision and must be able to detect and correct program errors in a timely fashion. Properly and safely load and unload castings and raw materials in molds and tools, as well as change out tools as required. Must have experience calibrating calipers and micrometers. Ability to use other small tools Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on sintering machinery. Must be able to report progress to the production supervisor in their department. What is required for the role: High School Diploma/GED equivalent 2 plus years' experience of operating furnaces, presses Computer literate and knowledgeable about tools and tooling Fluent in written and spoken English Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds without strain and needs to have a Quality First attitude and a strong team spirit to help keep equipment running within process specifications. Must stand for several hours at a time while performing their main job functions
