As a Racker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production process by accurately and safely handling materials and products. The employee will perform all specific and general duties surrounding the preparation of racks and frames, prior to racking parts up to 20 pounds in weight. Racks, clips, bolts, and secures parts for processing set-up prior to the finishing sequence. Unracks, inspects, and defabricates clips, racks, at the close of the finishing sequence. Identifies, counts, and records parts both entering and leaving the process sequence. Enters required information regarding work done and material processed on proper forms Responsibilities Safely and efficiently handle, organize, and move materials within the production area Accurately record inventory movements and update tracking systems in real-time Arranges pieces of metal in rows on wire screens or fastens pieces to racks with clamps or fabricated hooks, preparatory to plating, degreasing, and enameling. May brush particles of foreign matter from pieces of metal preparatory to painting. May place painted metal in trays for inspection. Identifies, unracks, counts, sorts, packages, as required, and records finished parts material as assigned. Returns load bars in a secure and hazard free condition. May wash racks and hooks as needed (PPE will be used while washing racks) Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work environment to ensure safety compliance Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents immediately Other duties as assigned Experience & Competencies Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or similar environment preferred but not required Demonstrates safety compliance by adhering to all NADCAP and OSHA safety policies including: reporting all safety incidents and notifying leadership of any unsafe working condition Ability to operate basic material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (training provided if needed) Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform physical tasks for extended periods Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team Willingness to learn safety procedures and adhere to company policies Join us as a Racker and become an essential part of our dedicated team!
