Job Description
Band Saw/Deburr Operator - Entry Level Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and motivated Entry-Level Band Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Band Saw Operator is responsible for safely operating Band Saw equipment to cut metal and other materials according to work orders, specifications, and production requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in developing manufacturing skills. Previous band saw or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required . Training will be provided to qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities Operate band saw equipment safely and efficiently to cut materials to specified lengths and dimensions. Read and follow work orders, drawings, measurements, and production instructions. Measure materials and finished parts using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools. Set up and make routine adjustments to equipment as trained and in accordance with established procedures. Inspect cut and finished parts for accuracy, quality, dimensions, burrs, sharp edges, and compliance with specifications. Remove sharp edges, burrs, and excess material from cut parts using hand tools and/or deburring equipment. Ensure parts meet required quality, dimensional, and appearance standards before moving them to the next stage of production. Properly identify, label, organize, and stage cut and finished materials for the next stage of production. Load and unload materials safely using appropriate material-handling equipment. Perform routine machine checks and promptly report equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality problems to the appropriate supervisor. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards. Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, quality standards, and company work instructions. Maintain accurate production and material records as required. Assist with other manufacturing duties and projects as assigned.
