Job Description

Hoerbiger is seeking a reliable Deburring Operator for 3rd shift in our manufacturing facility. In this role you will remove burrs and sharp edges from precision metal components using hand tools, grinders, tumblers, and other finishing equipment. You will inspect parts to tight tolerances, read basic blueprints, and follow detailed work instructions to ensure safety, quality, and consistency. Working in our engineering-driven, safety-focused culture, you'll collaborate with production and quality teams and contribute to advanced industrial technology used worldwide. Responsibilities Deburr and finish metal components using hand tools, grinders, and tumblers Inspect parts to ensure they meet dimensional and surface quality standards Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers Operate and maintain deburring and finishing equipment safely Handle, label, and move parts through the production process Document work performed and report nonconforming parts to quality Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE on 3rd shift Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet schedules Maintain a clean, organized work area and support 5 S practices Participate in continuous improvement and training activities Required Skills Deburring and edge finishing Use of hand tools and grinders Operating tumblers or vibratory finishers Basic blueprint reading Using calipers and micrometers Visual and dimensional inspection Following work instructions and travelers Shop math and measurement Safe equipment operation and PPE use Basic quality control documentation
