Belt Fabricator/Technician Express Employment - 3.8 Lakeland, FL Job Details Full-time $18 - $20 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Fabrication Interpreting technical drawings Industrial equipment troubleshooting Technical troubleshooting support Production troubleshooting Full Job Description Belt Fabricator / Technician Position Overview The Belt Fabricator/Technician is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and installing conveyor belts used in industrial and manufacturing environments. This role performs mechanical belt repairs, hot and cold vulcanization, splicing, and preventative maintenance to ensure safe and efficient conveyor operation.
Schedule & Compensation Hours:
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through
Friday Pay Range:
$18 - $20 per hour (based on experience) Key Responsibilities Fabricate, splice, and install conveyor belts according to specifications. Perform hot and cold vulcanization , patching, and belt repairs. Inspect belts for wear, damage, tracking issues, and potential failures. Operate belt presses, cutting tools, clamps, and fabrication equipment safely. Assist with belt changeouts, alignment, and system adjustments. Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and materials used. Follow all safety protocols, including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures. Work with supervisors and maintenance teams to support production needs. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience with belt fabrication, splicing, and vulcanization. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Ability to read and follow technical instructions and diagrams. Able to lift 50-75 lbs and work in industrial environments. Reliable transportation and ability to work full‑time schedule. Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, mining, or industrial maintenance. Forklift or man‑lift certification. Steel‑cord belt splicing experience. Work Environment Industrial and field‑service settings Exposure to heat, noise, dust, and heavy equipment Requires strict adherence to safety standards #3441
