What You'll Do:
Interpret and execute work orders and shop drawings with precision Select and transport raw materials using overhead cranes Measure, shear, and bend metals to exact specifications Set up and operate shear and brake machines with high attention to detail Ensure correct tolerances and allowances for all jobs Perform die changes and machine adjustments as needed Conduct daily equipment checks and maintenance Follow safety standards and best practices at all times Work with accuracy using tape measures, gauges, and other tools
What You Bring:
2-3 years of hands-on experience operating shears and brakes Strong understanding of tape measures, tolerances, and fabrication math Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Familiarity with overhead cranes and safe material handling Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to stand, lift, bend, and reach throughout the shift High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
