[25-30/hr.] Arlington Structural Steel is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Python X Operator to join our fabrication team. This position is responsible for operating the Python X robotic structural steel fabrication system to produce accurate, high-quality components while meeting production schedules and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate the Python X structural steel fabrication system. Load programs and material specifications for production. Position and load structural steel members safely and accurately. Monitor cutting, coping, marking, and other automated processes. Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and fabrication details. Verify dimensions and inspect completed parts for quality and accuracy. Make approved machine adjustments and troubleshoot routine operating issues. Perform daily inspections, cleaning, and basic preventive maintenance. Track production, material usage, and completed work. Coordinate with fitters, welders, material handlers, programmers, and supervisors. Follow all company safety procedures, including lockout/tag out requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area. Qualifications Previous experience operating Python X equipment is strongly preferred. Structural steel fabrication experience is preferred. Ability to read structural steel drawings, blueprints, and measuring instruments. Familiarity with beams, columns, channels, angles, and other structural shapes. Basic understanding of CNC controls, machine files, and production workflows. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to troubleshoot routine production and equipment issues. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work overtime or alternate shifts as production needs require. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and move throughout the shift. Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Ability to bend, reach, climb, and work around large steel components. Ability to work in a fabrication environment with noise, sparks, dust, and changing temperatures. Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment.
