Job Description

We are seeking skilled professionals to join our Downers Grove facility, where we focus on manufacturing essential parts for high-stakes sectors. Our culture emphasizes technical mastery, superior quality, and a collaborative atmosphere for our dedicated manufacturing team. Primary Duties Configure and run OD and ID grinding equipment, such as Studer, Landis, Tschudin, or Cincinnati models, to meet exact requirements. Process a variety of materials, ranging from heat-treated alloys to specialized tool steel. Analyze intricate technical drawings, job instructions, and specifications to guide production. Ensure parts adhere to rigorous quality benchmarks by performing in-process inspections with tools like bore gauges, micrometers, and calipers. Help ensure continuous production flow by performing basic machine troubleshooting and regular maintenance tasks. Contribute to a secure and organized workspace for the entire team. Required Background At least three years of hands-on experience in the setup and operation of ID/OD grinding machinery. Demonstrated success in maintaining precise surface finishes and tight dimensional tolerances. Deep knowledge of grinding fundamentals, including proper wheel dressing and selection. Advanced capability in interpreting blueprints, specifically regarding GD&T standards. Completion of a high school education or equivalent, with trade school training considered an advantage. Show a consistent track record of reliability and a dedication to maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Deburring proficiency CNC setup and changeover expertise Hand metrology and precision measurement Automotive production systems Aerospace manufacturing standards Inspection and precision measurement Equipment and systems you will operate: CNC Grinding platforms including Okuma, Okamoto, Studer, Amada, Chevalier, Anca, Walter, Mitsubishi, Tru-Tech, and Toyoda Internal diameter grinding systems Outer and inner diameter grinding machinery
