Join PSG and help us continue powering tomorrow. Position Overview PSG is seeking an experienced Milling Operator with basic machine setup skills for a second-shift position. This role is responsible for setting up and operating milling equipment to manufacture precision components in accordance with blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will have two to six years of milling experience, a solid understanding of basic tooling and workholding, and the ability to inspect completed work using precision measuring instruments. The successful candidate must be able to maintain quality, productivity, and safety while completing a variety of machining work.
Night-Shift Premium:
10% Key Responsibilities Perform basic setups and operate milling machines to produce precision components. Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications. Select, install, and align appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and workpieces. Establish and verify basic tool offsets, work coordinates, speeds, and feeds. Load materials and safely secure workpieces using appropriate workholding methods. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments. Monitor machining operations and make routine adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality. Identify basic tooling, setup, dimensional, or equipment issues and escalate more complex concerns when needed. Complete production, inspection, and quality documentation accurately. Maintain equipment and assigned work areas in a clean and orderly condition. Follow all company safety, quality, and operating procedures. Required Qualifications Two to six years of milling machine operating experience. Demonstrated basic milling-machine setup skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical specifications. Working knowledge of shop math, cutting tools, workholding, speeds, and feeds. Ability to establish and verify basic tool offsets and machine reference points. Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to work independently, follow established procedures, and meet production requirements. Strong attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to safety and quality. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating CNC milling equipment. Experience machining complex or low-volume precision components. Experience working with tight tolerances and specialized materials. Experience supporting the power generation, turbine repair, or heavy industrial sectors. Why Join PSG? Pay:
$24.00 - $27.50 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
