In this role, you will take ownership of the blasting department's evening workflow, operating specialized industrial cleaning equipment while collaborating with our furnace and testing teams. If you are an organized self-starter who takes pride in turning out high-quality work and enjoys a fast-paced shop environment, we want to hear from you.Key Responsibilities Blasting & Finishing Operation:
Safely set up and operate industrial surface-finishing equipment, including the Wheelabrator, rubber barrel blaster, and vapor blaster to ensure parts are properly cleaned and finished.Workflow Optimization:
Organize the department's daily workload and provide cross-functional support to the pitside and pusher furnace areas as needed.Machine & Tool Usage:
Safely utilize grinders, sanders, cut-off saws, and quality testing tools (Rockwell and Brinell testers).Logistics & Material Handling:
Safely operate a forklift to load equipment, transfer parts, and keep materials moving smoothly through the department.Quality & Process Control:
Monitor blasting processes to maintain high quality standards, hit target piece counts/weight levels, and keep accurate daily production records.Safety & Standard Operating Procedures:
Follow and help establish written procedures for equipment operation, emergency protocols, and quality control while maintaining a clean, orderly workspace.What You Bring Self-Driven Mindset:
Highly motivated and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently without constant supervision.Physical Capability:
Heavy industrial stamina with the ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly throughout the shift.Reliability First:
A proven history of excellent attendance and a rock-solid, consistent work record.Technical Adaptability:
