About the Role As a Precision Grinding and Threading Specialist, you will play a vital role in our production department by operating and maintaining specialized machinery to create high-quality components. You will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing output meets strict tolerances while contributing to a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Execute machine setups for grinding and roll threading equipment by accurately loading dies and tooling according to technical specifications. Operate production machinery to transform raw bar stock into finished parts, maintaining precise dimensional tolerances throughout the run. Conduct rigorous quality inspections using precision measurement tools like micrometers and calipers to ensure all products meet customer standards. Document production metrics, material usage, and quality data within the ERP system to maintain accurate records. Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptime. Uphold a safe and organized work environment by adhering to 5S methodologies and utilizing proper personal protective equipment. Manage material handling tasks, including the safe operation of overhead cranes and forklifts to transport stock and finished goods. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma, GED, or equivalent professional experience. 1-3 years of hands-on experience operating roll threading or industrial grinding machinery. Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting technical manufacturing instructions. Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and various gauges. Basic computer literacy for data entry and ERP system navigation. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks associated with machine operation. Preferred Skills Prior experience with CNC machine setup and changeover processes. Strong mechanical aptitude and proactive troubleshooting capabilities. Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional manufacturing environment.
