Lumber Treater Belchertown, MA Apply Lumber Treater Belchertown Lumber company currently seeking a Lumber Treater to join our manufacturing team. This position would specialize in the treatment and preservation of wood materials to enhance durability and resistance against pests, decay, and environmental factors. The ideal candidate will operate specialized machinery, interpret technical drawings, and adhere strictly to safety standards to ensure high-quality treatment processes. Temp-hire opportunity! Responsibilities Operate wood treatment equipment and machinery, ensuring precise application of preservatives on lumber. Handle material movement using forklifts, material handling equipment, and warehouse tools while adhering to safety protocols. Measure wood materials with calipers, tape measures, and other precision tools to ensure accurate processing. Perform routine maintenance on woodworking machines and saws, including sawing, machining, and woodworking machine operation. Follow safety standards rigorously during all stages of treatment and manufacturing processes. Conduct quality checks using precision measurement tools to verify treatment consistency and adherence to specifications. Maintain detailed records of treatment processes, machine operation logs, and safety compliance documentation. Support overall millwork production by ensuring timely processing of wood materials for construction or manufacturing projects. Previous experience is a plus but not required.
