Opportunity:
Deburring / Finishing Position The right candidate should have a basic knowledge of machining and handling of finished parts. This position requires a person to be able to work on their feet and sit and work with magnified eye loop for working on small parts. Hand and eye dexterity is needed for this position, plus being able to use hand tools required for deburring like grinders, sanders and buffing wheels. Perform finishing and deburring operations on all types of complex machined parts in various stages of completion in different types of material. Workpieces can range in size from small items held by hand and viewed under magnification, to parts that require a crane or hoist to lift and position for accessibility. Tasks also include but are not limited to deburring edges following machining, hand tapping, marking by impression stamps, solvent cleaning, polishing and occasional installation of commercial threaded inserts in machined items. The types of materials most seen are steel, aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, alloy steels, plastics and polymers of various types. Supplemental training will be provided. Work from customer drawings and specifications as well as verbal instructions with a minimum of supervision. All tools required are supplied by the employer. 32 hours per week min, Mon. - Fri. could be up to 40 hours on a flexible basis depending on workload. Status of US Citizenship required. Experience:
