In this role, you'll keep advanced grinders humming, deliver repeatable accuracy, and help teammates solve tough machining puzzles. A day in the life You start by reviewing work orders and drawings, confirming specs and tolerances. You set up and run CNC cutter grinders, monitor performance, and tweak offsets to keep quality on target. Between runs, you perform routine care on the machines and verify parts with precision gauges. When a challenge pops up, you team up to troubleshoot and get production flowing again—always with safety and 5S in mind. What you'll handle Set up and operate CNC cutter grinding equipment to produce cutting tools to specification. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to plan machining operations. Observe machine performance; adjust programs, tooling, and parameters to maintain quality.
Perform routine maintenance:
clean, lubricate, and replace worn components as needed. Inspect finished tools using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments. Collaborate with peers to diagnose and resolve machining issues efficiently. Follow safety procedures and sustain a clean, organized work area. What you bring High school diploma or equivalent; machining-related technical training or certification is a plus. Hands-on CNC machining experience with cutter grinding machines. Solid understanding of CNC programming and machine operation. Fluency in reading technical documents, blueprints, and work instructions. Comfort with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers). Sharp attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting. Resourceful problem-solver with a proactive mindset.
