Job Summary We are looking for an expert metal blaster and painter with a perfectionist's eye who will ensure that our custom fabrication projects leave our facility with the best possible visual presentation. The position requires the use of sandblasting equipment outside and year-round; regardless of weather conditions. We also have one of the largest paint booths in the state's industry. Knowledge of and experience with applying paint to metal is required. In addition to paying top dollar, full-time employees earn shares of the company after 1 year of employment. There is no buy-in to be a part of this plan, and it functions similar to a second retirement plan. The ideal candidate is passionate about craftsmanship, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to a highly talented and supportive team. Responsibilities Operate and maintain metal finishing equipment, including sandblasting and painting equipment, while adhering to safety standards and quality standards at all times Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documents to execute finishing processes accurately Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production flow Perform surface treatments like blasting or coating to achieve desired finishes on metal parts Collaborate with teammates to optimize finishing processes Maintain detailed records of work performed, including measurements, process parameters, and quality control data Skills Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and proper use of hand tools and shop math skills Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently within a manufacturing setting Skilled in quality control procedures including dimensional measurements with micrometers and calipers Experience in factory or manufacturing facility environments with a focus on processes and packaging procedures Mechanical knowledge combined with troubleshooting skills for industrial equipment maintenance Strong attention to detail in interpreting technical drawings and ensuring finished products meet specifications We are a drama-free custom fabrication shop. Pay:

$29.00 - $37.00 per hour
