Job Description
Overview A&R Employment Group is seeking a entry level Deburring and cleaning Technician to join a dynamic production team in the Allegan area. This role involves assisting with the removal of burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from fabricated metal parts. This position is ideal for individuals new to manufacturing who are willing to learn metal finishing processes and follow quality and safety standards. Duties Remove burrs and sharp edges from metal parts using hand and basic power tools under supervision. Preform edge breaking and light surface finishing according to work instructions and training. Visually inspect parts to ensure they are safe to handle and meet basic quality requirements. Properly identify, handle and move parts to the next operation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Assist with quality control procedures by inspecting finished products for compliance with specifications and tolerances and notify supervisor of any damaged parts, quality, and equipment concerns/issues. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Assist other production departments as needed. Skills Willingness to learn and follow instructions. Basic hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and independently within a manufacturing facility or factory setting. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to use hand tools and light power tools repetitively. Ability to work in a shop environment with noise, dust and metal debris. Basic familiarity with hand tools and in a manufacturing or shop setting preferred but not required.
