Competitive Hourly Rate •Union Facility• Our client, a well established union manufacturing company in the Blue Water area, is seeking a CNC Cutter Grinder / Tooling Technician to join their team. This is an excellent Contract to Hire opportunity with a strong chance of permanent hire based on attendance, performance, and business needs. Position Summary The CNC Cutter Grinder / Tooling Technician is responsible for operating, setting up, maintaining, and supporting CNC cutter grinding and blade sharpening equipment while ensuring quality, productivity, and safety standards are consistently achieved. This position plays a critical role in keeping production supplied with high quality cutting tools. Responsibilities Operate CNC cutter grinding and blade sharpening equipment. Set up machines and perform tooling changes as needed. Tear down, clean, rebuild, and inspect cutter bodies. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling. Troubleshoot machine and quality issues. Reset machine faults and help minimize equipment downtime. Perform quality inspections using precision measuring equipment and gages. Ensure cutting tools are available to support production schedules. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings. Follow all quality, production, and safety procedures. Qualifications Previous experience operating or setting up CNC grinding equipment. Experience with cutter grinding, tool grinding, blade sharpening, or similar precision manufacturing processes preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read work instructions and follow quality standards. Experience using precision measuring tools. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Strong attendance and dependable work history. Ability to work in a team environment. Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed. Preferred Experience CNC Cutter Grinding Tool and Cutter Grinding Tool Room or Tooling experience Precision manufacturing Preventative Maintenance Machine troubleshooting Gear manufacturing experience is a plus Why Consider This Opportunity?
