•Weekends and overtime may be required and is mandatory What You'll Do As our new Printing Press Operator/Die Mounter, you'll become an expert at Die Mounting and operating a BWP Flexpro Flex Folder Gluer.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Die Mounter
•This role will be your primary role.
Mounting Printing Plates and Cutting Dies:
They position and secure flexible printing plates (flexo plates) and steel-rule cutting dies onto cylinders, carriers, or mounting blankets.
Ensuring Precision Alignment:
They use precision alignment tools, grid lines, and registration marks to ensure the graphics and cuts line up perfectly. Even a millimeter of misalignment can ruin a production run.
Reviewing Job Specifications:
They read production orders, blueprints, and structural designs to select the correct dies, inks, and plates for each specific run.
Quality Control:
They inspect dies and plates for damage, wear, or defects before sending them to the production line. They often run initial test proofs to check for accuracy.
Maintenance and Storage:
After a job is completed, they clean the plates and dies, perform minor repairs (like replacing worn rubber matrix or damaged steel rules), and systematically store them in a library for future use. Secondary Role Operating and maintaining the BWP Flexpro to produce exceptional products Troubleshooting minor machine issues and performing routine maintenance. Ensuring color accuracy and matching customer specifications on every job. Coordinating raw materials and managing inventory to keep production running smoothly. Maintaining a safe and clean workspace while adhering to all safety regulations. What You'll Bring The ideal candidate will have the following: Excellent computer skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with precision. At least 1 year of experience operating digital printing systems, with a strong understanding of various printing technologies preferred.
