Job Description

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM The Deburrer, Aerospace Industry is responsible for the precision finishing, deburring, blending, and preparation of aerospace components and assemblies to meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform deburring, edge breaking, blending, polishing, and surface finishing operations on aerospace components and assemblies. Remove burrs, sharp edges, machining marks, and defects using hand tools, power tools, abrasives, files, grinders, sanders, polishing equipment, and other specialized finishing tools. Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, process sheets, and specifications to determine required finishing operations. Inspect parts during and after processing to ensure compliance with dimensional, cosmetic, and quality requirements. Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, radius gauges, and other inspection tools as required. Maintain traceability and accurate completion of production and quality documentation. Handle aerospace components carefully to prevent damage, contamination, or foreign object debris (FOD). Assist with other manufacturing or production activities as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work with precision hand tools and power tools. Ability to identify surface defects and cosmetic imperfections. Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 1-3 years of deburring, finishing, polishing, machining, or aerospace manufacturing experience preferred. Experience working with aerospace, defense, medical, or precision-machined components preferred. Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems and aerospace manufacturing practices is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
