Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Read & understand work order completely. Visually inspect all work order materials, samples, proofs, etc. Reports all problems to supervisor. Machine set-up & make-ready. Efficiently setting up & performing all score/perforate, die cut, emboss/Deboss and/or combination of these operations. Observes & monitors machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine if adjustments are needed. Make adjustments to machines during run to maintain quality & productivity. Follows all standard operating procedures and instructions relevant to the job, position and department accurately. Records daily production information & counts, such as amount of time spent on specific tasks, using specified forms. Reports all shortages to supervisor. Conduct quality checks during each job in accordance to policy and using specified forms. Maintains consistent quality throughout run. Clean and maintain work area and equipment. Check floor & equipment continuously for hazards. Retrieve and put away dies. Monitors condition of dies and provide feedback when dies need re-ruled and/or modified. Ensures operation of die cutters and related equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements according to operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions and established P.M. schedules Contributes to quality investigations when necessary Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Ability to read, write, & effectively communicate in English. Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, & divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to measure using rules, calipers, and/or micrometer. Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Mechanical aptitude Flexible to work weekends and overtime when needed (significant overtime may be required during busy periods). Must be able to maintain good attendance. Minimum 2 years of Bobst Die Cutting experience & must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
