6+ Month Assignments | Ongoing Opportunities Join Nordic Solutions Nordic Solutions is seeking highly skilled OD/ID/Cylindrical CNC and Manual Grinders to support advanced manufacturing projects throughout the United States. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced grinding professionals who enjoy challenging work, traveling to new locations, and producing high-precision components across a variety of manufacturing environments. If you're a true grinder who can independently set up, troubleshoot, inspect, and hold extremely tight tolerances, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities Set up and operate OD, ID, and cylindrical CNC and Manual grinding machines Grind complex one-off and low-volume production parts to precise tolerances Perform machine adjustments and troubleshoot grinding processes Work with exotic materials and high-alloy steels Select, dress, and maintain grinding wheels for optimal performance Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering specifications Perform detailed part inspections using precision measuring equipment, including:- Micrometers Bore gages Height gages Optical comparators CMMs and other precision inspection tools Maintain dimensional accuracy and exceptional surface finishes Solve manufacturing and process-related challenges in fast-paced production environments Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in OD, ID, or cylindrical CNC and Manual grinding Strong experience holding tight tolerances and producing precision components Experience with manual grinding equipment preferred CNC grinding experience is a plus Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills Advanced inspection, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities Experience machining or grinding exotic materials and hardened steels preferred Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed Willingness and ability to travel nationwide for project assignments Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay starting at $40+/hour, based on experience Tax-free per diem of $125 to $180 per day Mileage reimbursement at $0.76 per mile Overtime opportunities Health and dental insurance Employee referral program Long-term, open-ended project opportunities Who We're Looking For You are: A skilled precision grinder, not just a machine operator Comfortable adapting to new shops, equipment, and environments Reliable, professional, and committed to quality workmanship Collaborative, flexible, and solution-oriented Proud of your craft and motivated by challenging work Dedicated to producing high-quality work that consistently meets demanding specifications Our Values At Nordic Solutions, we represent: Grit | Honor | Intention | Quality | Collaboration | Agility Ready to Travel, Earn Top Pay, and Put Your Skills to Work?
