Job Description
Job Overview The Deburring / Roller Operator is responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, and excess material from cut laser parts or other manufactured parts using hand tools, small power tools, and automated deburring/ tumbling systems. Also, employees will be responsible for roll forming parts to print. This role supports fabrication by ensuring smooth, defect-free surfaces that meet customer specifications, company specifications, and safety standards. Other duties as assigned. Key Responsibilities Inspect raw and occasionally machined parts against blueprints, work orders, or technical drawings to ensure correct dimensions and finish requirements.
Operate manual and automated deburring tools (grinders, sanders, abrasive wheels, tumbler) to remove burrs, chips, and sharp edges.
Use hand tools and small power tools to smooth surfaces and prepare parts for assembly.
Operate roll forming systems to form parts to print specifications.
Measure parts with calipers, gauges, tape measure, or other inspection tools to verify compliance with quality standards.
Maintain and clean deburring/roller equipment and area to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Follow safety protocols, including PPE use, lockout/tagout procedures, and hazard communication.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment, meeting shift goals and quality targets. Required Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and work instructions.
Prefer experience with hand and power tools, grinding, sanding, and abrasive techniques. Work Environment
