Metal Forming Operator

About the Role Are you a mechanically inclined individual with a keen eye for detail? We are seeking a skilled metal forming specialist to operate and maintain a variety of metal fabrication equipment. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping raw materials into precision components, contributing directly to the quality and efficiency of our production processes. Responsibilities Set up and operate press brakes, shears, rolls, and other metal forming machines. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate material processing. Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to maintain optimal performance and minimize downtime. Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools to verify conformance to quality standards. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize production workflows. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 1 year of experience operating press brakes or similar metal forming equipment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting shop drawings and blueprints. Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers. Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Preferred Skills Experience with CNC machine setup and changeover. Familiarity with Voortman machines. Certification in operating overhead cranes and other lifting equipment. Strong understanding of bill of materials and production processes.
