Plasma Table Operator

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Plasma Table Operator role in Boring, OR. Pay:

$25-30/hour

DOE Key Responsibilities:

Set up, program, and operate CNC plasma cutting tables to cut metal components according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and CAD drawings to ensure precise cuts and proper material usage. Load and position materials on the plasma table, ensuring alignment and secure placement. Monitor machine operation and adjust settings as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and adherence to tolerances. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of plasma equipment to ensure optimal performance. Maintain organized work areas and follow all safety procedures and guidelines. Collaborate with production and fabrication teams to meet deadlines and production goals. Track and document material usage, job progress, and completed work. Identify and report equipment issues, defects, or safety concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred. 2+ years of experience operating CNC plasma tables or similar cutting equipment. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming is highly preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment. Basic understanding of metal fabrication processes and materials. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including overtime as needed.
