Job Description

Forging Operator-2nd shift B&G Manufacturing Company Inc United States, Pennsylvania, Hatfield 3067 Unionville Pike (Show on map) May 07, 2026 Are you mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and ready to build a career in manufacturing? We are seeking a dependable Forging Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate forging equipment to produce high-quality metal components while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Set up and operate forging presses and hammers according to production requirements
Prepare and position metal stock for forging processes
Monitor temperatures, pressures, and forming parameters to ensure product quality
Inspect raw materials and finished parts to verify specifications and dimensional accuracy
Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials and tooling
Perform routine equipment checks and minor adjustments
Assist with die changes, setups, and housekeeping activities
Complete production records and documentation accurately
Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE
Communicate equipment or process concerns to Leads and Maintenance personnel
Qualifications Manufacturing or forging experience preferred
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and quality
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work safely in a hot industrial environment
Forklift and crane experience is a plus
Team-oriented with strong communication skills
Physical Requirements Ability to lift, move, and inspect materials and dies up to 70 pounds
Ability to stand, bend, twist, and work around heavy industrial equipment
Exposure to heat, noise, and manufacturing conditions
Must wear required personal protective equipment
