Description Summary:

An OD Operator operates OD grinders and selected CNC machining equipment for the production of machined carbide and ceramic cutting tips to precision tolerances on support grinders. Pre-set and maintain tooling and equipment. The company (Greenleaf Corporation) provides on the job training.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Read and interpret router, blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, set-up procedures, control settings and machining methods and sequences. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Load media in machine controller or enter commands to retrieve preprogrammed instructions from database. Calulate and set machine controls. Mount, align and secure tooling, attachments and work piece. Select and install grinding wheels. Start and monitor display and machine operation. Verify dimensions of finished work pieces to specificiations. Visually inspect all parts for missing or incomplete operations. Perform equipment maintenance. All other duties as assigned. Comply with safety, qualify and housekeeping procedures

 40 - M-F; Day, Evening, Night shifts
