Survey Instrument Operator Harshman CE Group - Washington, PA Harshman CE Group is seeking an energetic person looking to start their career in the land surveying profession. No experience required, this entry level position will teach you the skills necessary to operate as part of a team with an experienced Survey Crew Chief. You'll participate in all aspects of field surveying work using survey equipment to collect data on property lines, utilities, topography, and perform construction stake out for projects around SWPA. This position is great for someone who enjoys working outside and is hands on. Land Surveying can become a fulfilling career for a motivated detail-oriented individual with the possibility of professional licensure without requiring a college degree.

Typical Activities:

Stocking vehicle with supplies for field work daily Communicating with office staff to prepare and recap field work Collecting field data on property boundaries, topography, existing features, as-built conditions, construction stake out and more. Ensuring proper documentation of field data and locations. Download and upload data from field data collectors to office network. Maintaining survey equipment

Desired Experience:

• No surveying experience required.
• Desire to learn/adapt to technology and learn a new skill set
• Strong communication skills
• Detail Oriented
• Valid Driver's License
• Must pass a drug screening
• The ability to carry up to 50 pounds of supplies and equipment in varying terrains and deal with most weather conditions

Bonus Experience:

• Knowledge/familiarity with one or more of the following:
• Surveying
• Construction
• Utilities
• AutoCAD Civil 3D
