Job Purpose Perform all coating related duties including operating prime equipment and producing quality product. Inspecting material per quality standards and verifying the conformance of the material being produced meets specified requirements.

Key Accountabilities
  • Fully meet the responsibilities of a Coating Operator 1 position
  • Make decisions regarding quality related issues (approved checkouts, BOR's, etc.)
  • Monitor the process while producing a quality product and adjusting the process as needed.
  • Set up the prime equipment per specifications and produce a quality product.
  • Train operator 1 coating employees in all aspects of coating responsibilities.
  • Gain thorough knowledge of the quality system and demonstrate the ability to provide input into new specifications and process updates.
  • Write orders for repairs that should be handled by the maintenance department.
  • Temporarily substitute for a coating operator 3 when needed.
  • Participate in identifying and resolving safety related issues.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and personal safety by adhering to sound safety practice.
  • Perform any other duties that are assigned.
