We have a crucial need for a Motor Grader Operator for the base & stone division to efficiently prepare the base layer for asphalt and concrete surfaces. Must be skilled in rough and finish grading with a blade.
Job Responsibilities:
Operates motor graders to perform precise grading work on construction sites. Utilizes GPS or laser-guided systems to achieve accurate grading according to project specifications. Read and implement plans (rates, grades, slope, drainage) to ensure the correct grade. Follow all safety and company policies. Work with crew members professionally to relay expectations and promote motivation. Complete jobs within budget and on time. Performs routine maintenance and inspections on blades to ensure optimal, performance. Report issues, material needs, and progress to supervisors. Perform other duties assigned.
Skills Needed:
Ability to operate a John Deere 622GP or CAT 120 grader is required. Paver, Roller, Skid Steer, Skip & Drag experience preferred. Grading experience is required; minimum 2 years finish grading with a blade (grader). Valid driver's license. Available to work weekends (specifically Saturday).
