KP Staffing is now hiring a Submerged Arc Welding Machine Operator (SAW) in Haltom City, Texas! Job Summary The Submerged Arc Welding Machine Operator will fit, join, fabricate, and repair steel and other weldable materials using submerged arc welding equipment. This role works closely with production leadership to ensure customer products are welded to job specifications, meet quality standards, and consistently produce UT-passable welds. Pay $23.00

• Friday 5:30 P.M.
• 2:30 A.

M. Saturdays as needed Duties Perform welding duties using a submerged arc welding machine Weld steel components according to engineering drawings, layouts, work orders, and verbal instructions Perform flat and horizontal welding Operate seamers and program equipment settings as needed Use forklifts, hoists, grinders, cutting torches, slings, and related fabrication tools Inspect welds and correct defects to meet product specifications Measure workpieces and verify conformance to specifications Perform clamping, tack welding, grinding, bolting, and related fabrication tasks Maintain quality welds capable of passing UT inspection Maintain production levels established by the supervisor Follow safety procedures and maintain an organized work area Qualifications High school diploma or GED 1-2 years of welding experience required Experience using submerged arc welding equipment Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, diagrams, and work instructions Experience with flux-core and metal-core wire Ability to use temperature sticks and welding fillet gauges Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure Weld test required Ability to frequently lift up to 75 lbs.
