Diagnose and rectify tooling problems and machine malfunctions. Work from drawings, specifications and job layouts. Ability to set up, adjust and operate a variety of manual grinders, and surface grinders.

Responsibilities:

Sharpen and maintain production tooling. Operate surface grinders with a high level of proficiency. Use production schedules to ensure tooling is ready for production runs. Using a shop router and/or a drawing, set up dies and the specific layout holding exact tolerances. Repair production machines Calculate and confirm the tool conditions set for each job.

Qualifications and Requirements:

High School Diploma Good Mechanical Skills to repair machines Experience on surface grinders and a general knowledge of machining practices. Excellent shop math

•test will be given. Able to read a ruler, micrometer, caliper.
