About Us:
The Baillie Group is one of North America's largest hardwood lumber manufacturers, distributors, and exporters. We are a provider of hardwood logs, hardwood lumber and proprietary grade hardwood lumber products. Midwest Hardwoods, under Baillie Group management, is searching for a Saw Filer in Wisconsin, specifically at our Park Falls, WI facility. Our location is looking for an experienced saw filer to join our team of skilled professionals. This is a great opportunity for an individual to join our team as a first shift saw filer. This opening is full-time and a permanent opportunity working for us. We believe in continuous improvement for our facilities and our employees.
Saw Shop Filer Responsibilities:
Sharpening, repairing and maintaining band saws Maintaining saw shop equipment and facilities Adherence to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures Ability to work independently Capable of working efficiently/safe as well as keeping a high level of precision
Saw Shop Filer Qualifications:
Saw shop experience is highly preferred, but may be willing to train the right candidate Proficient at benching both single and double cut saw blades Proficient at tig welding in teeth, and welding cracks Proficient at adjusting and maintaining swages and shapers Experience in maintaining filing room equipment Band mill alignment and maintenance experience helpful, but not required Must be self motivated and organized On-site presence at our Park Falls, WI facility required
Saw Shop Filer Pay & Benefits:
Minimum -
Anticipated Maximum Salary:
$20 - $30/hour• Full Time Hours Relocation package option Full Plan of Benefits including 401k
