Explore more at irco.com. Your impact Check die condition and perform visual inspections on parts to confirm quality. Remove and install die casting dies; make machine adjustments to meet production standards. Complete machine setups; before pressing start, ensure your setup is reviewed by a Supervisor or Group Leader. Assist maintenance with repairs as directed to keep lines running. Set up and, when required, operate auxiliary equipment: ladle, auto-spray, robotics, and trim press. Adhere to gauging/part check procedures on the specified timeline. Follow verbal instructions and Process Sheets to deliver safe, high-quality output. Do you have the background? High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma a plus. At least 1 year in a die casting environment. Can you meet the demands? Standing work with walking, bending, and stooping; heavier handling may occur during setup.
Lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying:
5 lbs. constantly, 35 lbs. frequently, 75 lbs. occasionally. Work around hazards such as serious cuts, burns, bruises, and potential permanent injury—goggles and heavy gloves are mandatory. Attentive work practices reduce risk. Expect heat, dirt, grease, fumes, and noise above 85 dB (hearing protection required when exposure exceeds 85 dB). Use small hand tools (wrenches, mallet, chisel, screwdrivers) and hoists/lift or hand trucks to move/install dies. Bonus points Comfort taking verbal instruction from a supervisor. Able to read, write, and interpret simple drawings.
