Job Description
FT Tool Room Technician-Injection Molding We are looking for a responsible Mold Maker/Tool Room Technician to perform all activities that involve the Maintenance of all Production and Prototype Tooling with the purpose to maintain production in a Plastics Manufacturing environment. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities Ability to Lift, Pull or Push Fifty pounds Make injection molds Basic Math Skills ie. +, -, /, x Maintain All Tooling via PM Program Recommend Tooling Modifications to improve Over-all Efficiency of Tool in regards to production and Preventative Maintenance Time. Maintain Tool Maintenance Area Work with Outside and On-Site Contractors Routine Visual Inspection of Tools Maintain Documentation of the Preventative Maintenance Program Continuous Improvement within the Facility for 5S and Lean Manufacturing To assist all Departments with the goal of Maintaining Uptime of the Molding Machines in regards Tooling Maintain a Safe Work Environment and Safe Working Practices To work within all the guidelines as specified by Company Policies. Teamwork with all Support Groups To Assist in all activities as instructed that are within your Physical Capabilities. Education and Experience § Complete Understanding of Tool Prints. § Understanding and Ability to Work with All Types of Required Maintenance Equipment § Understanding of Electronics as related to the tool. § Understanding of Hydraulics as related to the tool. § Understanding of Compressed Air and Pneumatic Systems § Ability to Complete Disassembly and reassembly of complicated tools § GED and 3+ Years' experience in the Plastic Industry required in tool maintenance type functions
