Company:
Unitek Insulation, LLC Position Summary:
J oin our dynamic team as an Environmental Laborer , specializing in hazardous abatement work under the Laborers International Union of North America, Local 368. This role supports safe and compliant environmental remediation projects, including hazardous waste handling, lead and asbestos abatement, and mold remediation. We are seeking dependable individuals committed to company values, teamwork, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain membership in good standing with the Laborers International Union of North America, Local 368. Perform hazardous waste handling, lead and asbestos abatement, and mold remediation activities in accordance with federal, state, and company safety regulations. Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety and health protocols. Assist with site setup, containment, material handling, and cleanup activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times. Follow instructions and job assignments provided by Management and project supervisors. Perform additional duties as assigned to support project completion and operational needs. Attends job site, company, and other meetings, as required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:
Membership in good standing with, or willingness to join, the Laborers' Union, Local 368. Certification in asbestos and lead abatement and mold remediation, or willingness to obtain required certifications (training information to become certified provided). Demonstrated reliability, including regular and predictable attendance and punctuality with an ability to meet project deadlines. Flexibility to work varied hours, including off-island assignments, weekends, and overtime as needed. Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Ability to follow instructions and execute assigned duties efficiently and responsibly. Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Knowledge of, or ability to follow, safety and security standards related to job duties. Ability to safely use, care for, and maintain assigned tools and equipment. Ability to meet productivity goals and quality standards established by management. Ability to maintain a positive, respectful, and professional demeanor and conduct oneself with integrity.
Education, Training, and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid Driver's license preferred.
