We operate like a family and are looking for a hands-on Mitigation Lead Technician who wants to grow with us. This is a working lead position. You will lead 1-2 helpers while also performing physical work including demolition, containment setup, HEPA vacuuming, cleaning, and setting up air movers and dehumidifiers. You will also respond to emergency restoration jobs and handle initial job responses, including inspecting damage, documenting affected areas, gathering measurements and information needed for estimates, and communicating findings to management. Most of our projects are located in Windward Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi Kai, and Honolulu, but job locations can vary throughout the island.
Typical responsibilities include:
Inspect water and mold damage Respond to emergency water, mold, and fire jobs Handle initial job inspections and gather information needed for estimates Take moisture readings and monitor drying Set up containments and drying equipment Lead demolition and cleaning Take clear job photos/videos and complete daily documentation Make material and supply lists Communicate professionally with homeowners and management Keep jobs clean, safe, organized, and moving
Requirements:
IICRC WRT
certification required Water mitigation/restoration experience Ability to lead helpers and perform physical labor Knowledge of moisture meters, drying equipment, and containment Good communication and documentation skills Valid driver's license and clean driving record Comfortable using a smartphone for photos, notes, and job documentation Must be reliable and available to respond to emergency restoration jobs when required Pay starts at $35/hr DOE for qualified lead technicians.
