Hazardous Waste Screener- Caldwell Personnel Plus in now hiring for a Hazardous Waste Screener in Caldwell, ID In this position you will assist customers and inspect landfill loads for hazardous materials and contaminants while ensuring compliance with safety regulations at the Caldwell landfill.
Pay and Schedule:
$19/PH| 4×10 hours shifts| 7:30-6:30pm| Temp to hire What you'll do: Greet, direct, and assist customers. Inspect incoming loads for hazardous materials and separate prohibited or hazardous items according to landfill regulations. Inspect metal cylinders for gases and check soil loads for potential contaminants. Monitor customer activities to ensure compliance with landfill rules and regulations. Monitor and assist with extinguishing burn barrels when necessary. Record rejected loads and notify the scale house of rejected materials. Perform other duties as assigned. What you'll need: Knowledge of landfill safety and hazardous waste regulations. Good customer service skills and ability to work around the public. Must pass a drug test and criminal background check. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and operate a two-way radio. Good hearing and vision to identify hazards and read instructions. Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to pass a background Be drug-free
