Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Asbestos Manager to oversee and manage asbestos abatement projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices in asbestos management, construction, restoration, and mold remediation. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and compliance of all asbestos-related activities within our organization. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive asbestos management plans in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Supervise asbestos abatement projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Conduct site assessments and inspections to identify asbestos-containing materials and evaluate potential hazards. Coordinate with contractors, regulatory agencies, and clients to ensure effective communication and project execution. Provide training and guidance to staff on safe handling practices for asbestos and mold remediation processes. Maintain accurate documentation of all asbestos-related activities, including reports, permits, and compliance records. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to asbestos management and remediation. Requirements Proven experience in asbestos abatement management or a similar role within the construction or restoration industry. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations related to hazardous materials handling and workplace safety. Familiarity with mold remediation techniques and best practices is a plus. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in high-pressure environments. Strong analytical skills for assessing site conditions and developing appropriate action plans. Exceptional communication skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Relevant certifications in asbestos management or environmental safety are preferred.
